photos for a mission

My passions (besides sharing the Gospel with people...)
are knitting and photography-

My brother is getting married in December; Linden and his fiancĂ© asked me to take their engagement pictures.
Then my other brother, Nathan and his wife, asked me to take their Christmas pictures.
I said what better way to raise support than using the things I enjoy doing for God's glory!

...Do you hold onto your friends...?
...Do you hold onto your electronics...?
...Do you hold onto men's approval...?
The only thing that will hold you is GOD.

joys from the summer

This past summer was totally awesome!!
Being a counselor has got to be one of the most challenging and yet the most fun thing to do in the whole world!
Counseling emotionally and physically drains you, but to watching the children grow in the Lord is so rewarding!
Whether it's watching them start a new found relationship with our Savior of the world, or watching them learn in their walk the lessons of life.
The hardest thing was watching them leave at the end of the week not making any profession of faith- not knowing whether they were on their way to heaven or hell, but that challenged me to
trust God.
In God's hands they are in much better care.

Quiet Time- Spending precious time in God's Holy Bible

Unit 2

Unit 1

Mikkey taught me-
-Are you WORRYING?
-Are you TRUSTING God?

(worry is just telling GOD that His plan for you
is not good enough...)

{Worry is not trusting God}
Philippians 4:6&7, 13
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts
and minds in Christ Jesus.
[I can do all things through him who strengthens me.]

A HUGE thank you-
*3Ten*
-to all those that did things that were so
behind the scenes that no one noticed,
God sees all.

He saw your efforts, you will be blessed.

Such a thing as too much candy at CAMP??

My awesome unit leader
-thank you for your persistent, when it was hard.
God has taught us both huge awesome HARD lessons!

Ending of this step....Graduation

Welcoming new...
-what does God have in store?
Are you open to His will??

what it looks like

OPPORTUNITIES ...and open doors

Now that I have finished my two years at Word of Life Bible Institute, God has opened new doors and new opportunities. I have been offered a position to intern at Word of Life’s campus in Ontario, Canada to be the Ministry Department Coordinator. This is a volunteer position, so in order to do so I need to raise support in the states to support me financially, and the commitment is one year. I ask that you consider prayerfully and financially supporting me that the gospel may go out to all the world.

I will be able to disciple young girls to pour into their lives and to help them grow closer to the Lord, and I turn I will be discipled, to help me continue growing closer to God.

I will be overseeing the ministry, helping the students on their ministry trips, getting them prepared beforehand and helping them to continue sharing the gospel in their daily life.

The position that I get to be in and the team that I will partner with has an awesome opportunity to see Canada’s youth reached with the gospel, to watch life change happen, and to see the next generation grow up to be servants of Christ.

I need prayer support...

              * Wisdom

              * That God will be my focus

              * That the gospel will be proclaimed in my life

    >your participation in prayer allows you to be part of something bigger than money can pay, prayer connects us to our Heavenly Father, while money is just a stepping stone to furthering the gospel.

I need financial support...

       monthly support needed is $927 which covers:

               * Board and Room

               * Salary

               * Admin. Fee

    >be part of the stepping stone...

Thank you for the part you have played in my life, everything matters.

God has, is, and always bless you!

You may have been given an opportunity and never taken it-
You may have been given an a door but never opened it-
Or an open door and you never stepped through it-
You may have been given both, an opportunity and a open door,
-but have you taken the step of allowing God to use you?

You never know how God will use the things you have said or done, to impact someone else's life to either draw them closer to God or to cause them to follow themselves...

the beginning of the journey...

God has given me the awesome opportunity to serve Him in Canada!

How it came to be--
During my first year at Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida, the Canadian extension was low in student numbers and was needing some counselors for the summer. I was instantly interested, for several reason- 1) I had never been to Canada 2) sounded a lot cooler than it would be in Florida!
Never been a too big of a fan for stuffy hot weather...
Everything worked out that first summer, I was able to spend my summer ministry in Canada.
I loved every minute of everything- the campers, the counselors that I worked along beside, the weather, the family atmosphere, I really loved Canada!
The following fall, it wasn't until after graduation that I decided to do Word of Life's second year. Going to college for one more year gave me the opportunity to spend another summer in Canada!
During my school year, I was offered a position to intern in Canada. I had been praying about interning and I just didn't know where yet- so being offered a position it was really hard to not say "yes" right away and to pray about it to know whether that was where God was leading me or not.
It was crazy! I had several friends of mine ask me if I had thought about interning before, not even knowing that I had been thinking about it or that I had been offered a position!
One of my friends asked, "Lauren, how many more times will someone have to ask you if you are going to do this or not?" None of them even knowing the situation!
It was awesome to see God's hand in every detail!

This past summer I spent it also as a counselor at camp in Canada. I was completely focused on summer camp and the campers that it was really hard to think about the fall. Summer came to an end so quickly, leaving me with a little over a week to get all the details for internship pulled together.

God is not small.

God will work where God needs God's work done.
He will call who ever He wants, and it will never be those that are equipped.
But He doesn't call those that are not willing to do His work.

He who calls you is faithful;
he will surely do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:24&25
